Our two countries were closer trade wise in the late 1800's & early 1900's than they are today, so I am not surprised by you finding Doulton pipes in Argentina. Doulton's were a well known brand & were reputed to be the best in producing good quality products on a large scale. Doulton's may have even had an office in Buenos Aires to take orders, if not I am sure there will have been a representative in the capital. Hope this has helped in some way.
